A little about our business

In 1988, Laura Becker became paralyzed as the result of a severe spinal injury from an automobile accident. Seeing a need for products to improve Laura's quality of life, Becker Industries was founded by Dan and Laura Becker in 1990. The mission of the company is to develop and produce high quality products wich will improve the quality of the life of the physically disabled. In 1996 Dan Becker had tumors removed from his spinal cord.

Becker Industries products are currently used by:

• Hospitals

• University Hospitals

• Major School Districts

• Nursing Homes

• Rehabilitation Homes

• VA Centers

Becker Industries has been appointed to the following boards:

• Three Rivers Independent Living Center

• Advisory Board for Easter Seals - Iowa Farm Program

• University of Iowa Advisory Board for Assistive Technology

• Iowa Program for Assistive Technology Services Delivery Workgroup

• Marian Health Center Community Adrvisory Board for the Disabled

• The Iowa Governor's Councle on Disability

• Mercy Medical Center Advisory Board
